What is the best organic and healthy lotion to use on your face without chemicals?

Question by SB: What is the best organic and healthy lotion to use on your face without chemicals?
I would prefer something I can use daily that has no chemicals or harmful products. I would like something affordable that works, and eventually improves the skin on my face without growing dependent on the lotion, like with other creams. Thats why I heard organic creams are the best for this. Can anyone recommend a high potency organic face cream?

Um…just read and compare the labels of the veggie chips and a bag of the chips that you would have eaten before.

Compare the salt and calories as well as how much of each you can actually have and even the ingredients. Some so-called healthy foods have more products in them than regular foods and that’s not healthy. And some say to eat so little of them that you won’t be satisfied until you eat double, or even triple, the amount it suggests. You may be better off eating what you’d eaten before. Or the veggie chips may be the best way to go.

It’s likely that the salt used on them is either kosher or sea salt which can cause bloating in some people and is often stronger in its flavor which can result in you craving soda or sweets as they will balance the salt. And that won’t really help you in your healthy eating goals!

You don’t have to buy foods specifically labels as healthy or natural to actually be healthy. You just have to do everything in moderation and get the adequate amount of exercise to burn off those calories to maintain the weight you are at.

Q&A: How healthy is a Vegan diet? How can you make it more fattening?

Question by healthy_mind30: How healthy is a Vegan diet? How can you make it more fattening?
I have a 15 month old that is allergic to milk, eggs, chicken, PEANUTS, nuts, and peas. So, I kind of have to put her on a vegan diet. For those who were vegans since babies, did you drink soy milk? That’s all I can give her and I know a lot of vegan recipes have soy in them. The reason that I am concerned is that I keep reading and seeing everywhere that soy is bad for you. This makes me upset because I can’t help that she can only drink soy milk. I forgot to mention that I can’t give her rice milk or coconut milk. Is there anyone that’s been drinking soy milk and eating foods made with soy for many years? Let me know that you are healthy, so I can have some kind of peace of mind? Also, she is underweight from not being able to eat so many things. Any suggestions on how to fatten up her diet? Please help I can’t seem to get a real straight answer out of anyone else.

First of all, soy milk or products made with soy are not necessarily “bad for you.” If you are replacing regular milk with soy milk then you aren’t giving the baby as much vitamin D. My wife drinks soy milk all the time and seems to be as healthy as can be. As far as fattening up her diet, if she isn’t allergic to all dairy products then yogurts and cheeses are good. But if she is then you could try soy yogurt and soy butter on bread. Good luck.

Help me with a grocery store list that is simple and lazy and healthy?

Question by thefinalresult: Help me with a grocery store list that is simple and lazy and healthy?
I live alone and I want to see if I can do simple, lazy and healthy food shopping and food prep and eating. About the most I “cook” is to hard boil eggs. But I do own a skillet and several pans and a microwave. I am lactose intolerant and have GERD so milk and tomato products are out. Looking for a shopping list for about 7 days and I have some basics already here. I am trying to eat better thanks in advance.

Q&A: how do you have enough time to be 100% healthy?

Question by arasretep: how do you have enough time to be 100% healthy?
think about it; you have 24 hours a day and in a typical weekday, and they say they need this out of you to stay healthy:
8 hours of sleep=16 hours left
and hour of moderately vigorous physical activity=15 hours left
cooking “healthy food” (as if there is a meal out there which is completely healthy) and eating (going through the shops looking at the nutrition info at the back and buying takes up time weekly)= maybe about 3-5 hours= 12-10 hours
other things; like waking up, getting ready, teeth, face, shaving, skin, clothes: maybe another 2 hours= 8 hours

and still have a job, family, school, assignments, uni, family events, religious needs, and other priorities?! especially with all these problems in our world (economic, global warming, etc)
its impossible to live 100% healthy and efficiently in this lifetime!
how can you have time for these things daily/weekly without being tired constantly and be happy?!

Healthy cooking simply means low carbs and low fat. So, no deep frying, no skin on your chicken, trim fat off chops and steaks, eat veggies, fruit, seeds and nuts. Have greens every day, drink lots of water and follow the national food pyramid. Not a mystery, just watch what you eat.
