Question by beagle: I want to make gluten free bread in a bread maker. Can I use any bread maker?
In researching bread makers on the internet it appears that some have a special programme “gluten free”. Does this mean that any bread maker without this programme is not suitable for gluten free bread?

You can’t make bread without wheat or glutton.
It would be called something else and I would hate to have to be the one that is forced to eat it!
It is kinda like calling “Soy Juice” “Soy Milk” there is no tit on a soy plant!

Question by Jai247: Gluten free foods in Montreal or Canada, any online stores I can use paypal to order?
I’m having dificulty finding a large range of gluten free products in Montreal, and I don’t have a credit card which makes ordering online difficult. I was wondering if there were any online gluten free stores, that ship to montreal and which accept paypal?

Hmm. I do not know about Ca persay but does Amazon take paypal? I am not sure if they do. I know ebay does and I have found some Gluten Free foods on Ebay. You can always request a catalog and some places will take money orders or checks. I like www.glutenfree.com. Request a catalog from them and see if they’ll accept a check or money order. I find they have a good selection. Also try gluten free trading company (not sure of web address). Good luck!

Oh yes – if you’re having trouble with gluten, a diet can be like a miracle!! The best way to try this is to do the Atkins diet. It cuts out about all the sources of gluten.

I know I was just overcome with joint and muscle pain – it came on slowly over about 10 years. And when I started the Atkins, I knew right away that it was for me. the pain just came off in sheets. If you could get this much good out of pills, the pharmaceutical industry would really be able to cash in!

Get a copy of “New Diet Revolution” – it’s probably in the library – or used off of Amazon Books. Atkins will run you through the diet – it’s quite simple – and very healthy. And just try it for 2 weeks and see if it isn’t a minor miracle for you too.

It could well be that humans aren’t really designed to deal with a lot of gluten. And in America today, we eat this crap by the boxcar full. It’s nice when you stop.

Q&A: Gluten free…?

Question by ★☆W.a.b.b.y✿❀: Gluten free…?
What are the benefits of a gluten free diet? (for a non-celiacs at present but doctors say it will probably develop, or I could be a carrier)

Answer by ivan dog
you would lose some weight due to not being able to eat “regular” breads, pastas , cookies, pretzels, candy

cannot eat anything containg ……wheat , barley,oats

all foods that normally contain wheat would have to be made from corn flour, bean flour , rice flour

and those flours dont have the carbohydrates that wheat flour has so you’d lose a little weight

but its not worth using as a weight loss diet because its really hard to manage , and the alternative food products are very expensive
